Birding Workshop For Scouts: Shenandoah Naturalists is pleased to announce our workshop for the Boy Scouts' "Bird Study" Merit Badge and Activity Credits towards the Nature Study for the Girl Scouts' Birds/Eco/Wildlife Interest Project Patches. The workshop is provided at no cost to the scout.

Friday, April 1st 7-9 PM: Lecture/ Slide show and Audio lab
Saturday, April 2nd 1-4:30 PM: Hands-on practical & Birdhouse craft workshop.
Required field trip activities will be announced in the following weeks (Green Circle or 3rd Winchester Battlefield).

Before Class: Boy Scouts should buy the BSA Merit Badge Bird Study book. (we have a limited number of books available for those with limited resources). Study the book before class so you will have a better understanding of the topics.
All participants will also need a field notebook: a 5x7 or 7x8 spiral ring notebook will work best. Bring pencil or pen!! Also, feel free to bring your own birding field guide and/or binoculars.
